How long does a casting take?
We usually allow 30-60 minutes for the whole casting experience,depending on casting option, we will ask you to practice your hand positions either together or individually depending on style of cast.
What should I expect?
If you are visiting us at the Mill please wear warm comfortable clothes, which are easy to Roll up or take off (dependant on casting) the Mill is a heritage building and you do feel the cold in the communal areas, the Unit will be warmed for your arrival and there is always a warm brew and blankets available whilst going through the casting process. Whilst we limit the mess, due to the nature of alginate and dependant on casting position we recommend you don’t wear your best clothing for the casting session.
What are your hours?
Our hours vary due to the nature of home visit castings, where possible we will update our calendar of events and workshops for when we are based at the Mill

How long will it take to be finished?
The time period for finished cast is usually 4 weeks dependant on drying times and choice of finish
Do you offer classes for children?
We are happy to visit Nurseries, schools & organisations to cast hands or hand imprints and offer group discounts,

How far do you travel?
Cast My Memory will travel up to 10 miles from Higherford Mill postcode for individual casting at no extra charge, we will then charge 40p a mile thereafter.
If you are in the area and want to be cast we can do the casting in the Mill and send out your finished cast via special post
